Hmm I was just "experimenting" with the air gap on a flyback I use a large flyback when driving it with ZVS, anyway the air gap is less than say 0.5mm's big, I widened it to about, 3mm and the output voltage and current was massive very hot and very long arc, normally the arcs are impressive without doing this. The flyback arcs to air, I need to put it in oil now, I'm using 8+8 TURNS!!! normally I use 4+4 to get best output!
