All I care about is good postage, anyway those MOSFET's are 1.47 that OK I suppose, what is the max current 25A and the 250n is 30A, so I suppose they are OK.

I will buy 2 IRFP250N's and 4 of those MOSFET's.

I'll buy some diodes too.

Thanks!

I will be getting these.

I did buy zeners but they are gone somewhere :(

Anyway they are OK?

Just a heads up, farnell have a £20 minimum order total before you can place an order.

irfp450 will work to and you are not stuck with irfp250
just make shure they work. I generaly find the fet that has the highest wattage rating and balence that agenst cost

The MOSFET that gets hot measures 1-3ohms from pin 2 to pin 3, and the other MOSFET measures much much higher.

In my earlier post I said it's like 1Ohms from Gate to Source, actually I meant Drain to source.

I think the three orders of magnitude discrepancy between the two is the indicator that one is dead lol, not which pins you measured :P
If you need something else for your order, how about a nice capacitor or two, or a big inductor core

I actually don't have the money.

But the MOSFET is fried. So I'm not sure how it died though, I was running it about 10minutes the flyback was very hot, burning you finger if you touch it and the output just faded and went out, the capacitor in the ZVS was bulging and that has been replaced. But I'm wondering, I replaced the zeners and diodes with junk parts from my box. If I put a new FET in I wonder if it'll blow?

I am thinking that maybe the resonant capacitor was the original thing to fail from overheating and it took one of the MOSFET's will it when the circuit latched up from capacitor failure.

As to will it blow again if you replaced the MOSFET, there is only one way to find out.

What value cap did you replace the original one with? what number code is on it?
