hey guys, had some time on my hands, so i tried to make a simulation of a sstc/drsstc with the falstad circuit simulator. hope it helps some people like me who couldn't use spice if their life depended on it. usualy when i do stuff like this the sim lags and breaks because of the massive values(current) generated. i finaly had the time to sit down and make it work.

it doesn't have feedback, just a set frequency, and all the logic is not a driver, but just stuff to control the on, off of the coil. turns out inverters have no low impedance state, so that was a pain. the inverter would invert the "no signal" to positive, keeping one of the fets on at any given time rather than shutting both off. the gates fix that.

i would assume that anyone who wanted to put more work into it could get a full feedback/transformer setup going, and if someone does, pleas let me know i would like to see it =)

well, here it is:link here

For falstad, I don't recommend using the built-in mosfets. They seem to have weird resistance/Vdrop characteristics... I use analog switches (under active components) instead.
Also, you can use higher frequencies by going into options->other options and turning down the timestep.

well that solves the low voltage problem, thanks. the fres is set to 1khz simply because its easier to follow, but it could of course be changed to better suit a specific design. i alwars find the phisics of the semiconductors in falstad to be slightly... off sometimes. wish he would update the app with more components.
anyways, thanks for the tip!
