So I've seen musical Tesla coils before, and they don't seem to ever play lower notes. Is there a way to make a Tesla coil specially designed for low notes and use it in a "sound system" with that Tesla coil as the subwoofer and two others for the left and right? Thanks!

I don't think a DRSSTC will ever do it well at all, because it's a series of very brief bangs. Anything below around 20hz, and the ear will no longer make that a tone.
A CW coil on the other hand, could very likely do pretty well at this. Although it would likely need a carefully designed enclosure to get good bass depth.
I have heard of a high voltage audio system in a home theater, read about it many years ago and don't recall where. They did have a sub, though I don't know if it was a tesla coil or just a plasma speaker.

In a subwoofer speaker, one could argue that the box it is in is more important than the speaker itself. The same would likely apply to a hi-fi bass tesla coil. The enclosure sets the stage for proper acoustics to take place in the desired frequency range.
