He asked me in a PM to tell him how to build one. I told him the materials, but I really don't know how to explain the rest.

thats the circuit im basing it off of with specs of my own coil for simplicity. But can someone please make an account on there and PM him and tell him the rest? Tell him "HV_ARCS_4_U told me about you."

Let's bring another HV person into our community!

The circuit i showed is the circuit i am using. its better if he uses a Safety Spark Gap.

The safety gap is OK, the tank cap across the trasformer is NOT - this way the secondary winding of the transformer sees full RF AC voltage and can easily get damaged. It is essential to put the main gap as well across the transformer.
