Yeah, it's probably too lumpy for the resistor painting machine to cope with.
Patrick, no 4 wire measurement? When you're measuring low resistances, everything matters. I recently bought a batch of 0.01 ohm resistors, and the datasheet specified the length of leads included in the measurement. (I wanted the 4-terminal ones, but they were on back order.)

well ill try again then, but at 0.01 ohms im sure a proper measurement would make a big difference.

Non-inductive resistors with Ayrton-Perry winding are used in RF circuits, in switching circuits, and where a resistor must be able to withstand repepitive energetic surges. And no doubt in other applications too.
