Hi all.
I acquired two interesting LCD display modules from in-car DVD players.
Presumably the reason why they were dumped is that the backlight drivers are shot, or the DVD mechanisms are toast ie low emission lasers.
They do however seem to have video inputs on the daughter boards so perhaps they can be recycled into small monitors/DIY Ipad/ereaders/etc?
Let me know if interested, which parts etc.
I also have an essentially intact Philips DVD player which has a fried DVD mechanism.
This one doesen't have any inputs but maybe this can be added?
It has a good battery and includes charger.
Also have a good <10" VGA LCD from a digital picture frame including driver.
I've replaced the backlight with LED strip which works fine, sadly my AA1 only outputs 800*480 which is unsuitable.
Will need E2PROM added to make it accept PC VGA input.
Am willing to swap for decent IGBTs and swapee must pay postage from Channel Islands.
