A while ago I noticed that the famous ZVS driver seems to work, and has some different characteristics when one of the gate resistors is left unconnected.

It seems to draw significantly less current, but works only at voltages under around 15 or so. (i think it might be due to the zener voltage? Needs moar tests!)

It also seems to work better with higher frequencies!

Anyone have any experience with this?

Do you mind to sketch the ZVS and point out the resistor that is disconnected ?? Any more info re current draw will help
