Hello, I am about to put my plasma speaker setup into a project box with a spark gap of some sort mounted on the top.
I was just wondering if it would be better to connect the high voltage return pin on the flyback to the main circuit ground at this point (battery negative terminal). Is there any benefit in doing this or would it likely destroy the driver circuit as wouldn't there be high voltage being pumped back into the circuit? Everything is lead acid battery powered so there is no mains power supply's to worry about.
I appreciate any answers.
