I doubt it’s not so much to do with his understanding of electrical safety, rather than wanting to participate in something with a danger element for the sake of trying to appear cool on YouTube, I don’t think half of the things would be attempted, be it jumping off roofs or whatever if it were not being filmed.

So playing with electricity is probably no different in respect of the human element of trying to be admired for daring to something that more sane people might not.

Then again frowning on reckless risk taking is probably a sign of getting old, so I guess I better shut up now.

I read the comments on the first video and he said that he wore a conductive suit so that might make it a bit safer, although the wire mesh is pretty spaced out on the glove and using an alligator clip is just plain stupid

If he used something more secure than a crocclip then I really don't see anything the matter with the first video. The electricity will always go to ground. Link2

Can't tell if he's holding the ground or live wire in the second video but it damn well better be ground.
I concur with Grenadier, as long as that glove or cage it grounded, he should be fine. However if the gater clip were to fall off, then he just might be dead hah.

It will always go to ground yes, but he's was bare handing MOT outputs in the second video.

Part I: Behavior and Conduct
E. Follow these rules! This should go without saying, but a lot of people tend to respond negatively when they find themselves being corrected. If you have a problem with a rule, take it to the suggestion box, or contact an administrator privately. Do not back-talk or debate the intent of a rule in a thread that has nothing to do with discussing rules.

F. Let the moderators do their job. If you're not a moderator, you shouldn't be accusing new members of not having read the rules, or of not Googling properly. You certainly shouldn't be making people feel unwelcome by acting hostile. If there's a problem with a post, report it to a moderator, and let them handle it.

With that being said, I have deleted the off topic comments and this thread can continue to discuss electrical safety.

Locking the thread, per the OP's request. Hopefully we've all learned a little something about safety.
