If he used something more secure than a crocclip then I really don't see anything the matter with the first video. The electricity will always go to ground. Link2

Can't tell if he's holding the ground or live wire in the second video but it damn well better be ground.

True with the grounding issue on the first vid, but I don't think anyone here would try that . . . And the second one, whichever wire it is in an arc there will be 2500V at 500mA in whichever wire.
Not very safe at all.
