Hi,

I need for a halfbridge a mosfetdriver ic.
I think the "MCP 1407-E/P" is good.

Waht do you think about it ?
Is this a good IC to drive the mosfet, waht is the maximal frequency for the MCP 1407-E/P ?
This is the datasheet: Link2

Thanks for help.

I just looked at the driver chip, and from what I can tell, yes, they would work fine. It depends on what kind of mosfet you're driving, and what frequency.

Though, you would need to use a gate drive transformer to run a half bridge!

Jes, I wand to use a gate transformer.
The frequency is round of 380KHz.

Base from its datasheet, it is good for your application, and I think it will work with that frequency.

Ok, thanks for your answers.
Now, i have order 10 pieces from this driver ic.
If I have build this SSTC, I want to show you an oszilloscope picture from the output of this ic.

Alternately, you can design a mosfet driver with enable feature just like the expensive UCC ICs.
please see my thread about Discrete GDT driver. Kindly look at Dr.Kilovolts' schematic (for 5 volt logic level) (below pic), it is really helpful.
You can also use my design if IC logic components available locally are in 15v logic level.

Using our designs, you will not mind the current rating and speed characteristic of the driver in which will drive the power mosfet in your H-bridge. It all depends on your selection of components such (transistor & mosfet).

I hope this helps.
