Can someone has a schematic that contains an Enable function using only discrete logic components? =( I want to use antenna feedback and "AND or NAND" gates before discrete Push-Push transitor-mosfet configuration., please post some schematic. thanks

I think you can just use a 74HC14 Schmitt trigger in the usual way for antenna feedback and then AND the output with your interrupter for a non-inverted drive signal and NAND the output with your interrupter for an inverted drive signal.

What, exactly, are you trying to accomplish by using a discrete push-pull? Are you trying to drive a brick, and if so, why are you using antenna feedback? Are you trying to eliminate the GDT from your design and drive your coil directly using a push-pull? If so, then I don't think you'll be able to do it without using gate drive chips (ie. UCCs), which would defy the point of using logic gates to implement enable.

You should also note that you'll need some other way to start up your coil if you're not using UCCs as you won't get output pulses on enable from regular AND and NAND gates.

what do you mean by this?

NAND the output with your interrupter for an inverted drive signal. - can I use only 1 IC of NAND gate and just invert the output of the other NAND so that I will get the AND function? => I am pertaining to delay it could add.

I am only trying to drive a irg4pc50ud, without relying to those UCC ic's. I've made it work once using only a 74hc14 then one signal is inverted then both go to a NAND gate and then the output will drive a simple pushpull transistor after that, the output will buffered by an push pull mosfet, but i don't know what happened when it didn't work. =P (please see attached photo)


NO, i am not trying to eliminate the GDT, only those UCCs. Thanks. Kindly correct my circuit if you find any defects.
