ok, so this is similar to another post i made about securing the ends of a coil, but a bit more specific. i attached some pics of my coil. im looking for a way to secure the top lead, while still being able to interchange different top loads during tuning and experimentation. i am going to put some baffles inside the tube with caulking. thats what the wood and plastic disks are. i planning on experimenting with no less than 2 or 3 top loads. a flattened shpear in the pic and some toroids. could i just secure the same way i did on the bottom with a copper pad, and run a jumper wire from that to the load? im open to ideas. i try to make do with what i have laying around, unless i really have to make a trip to the hardware store. im kinda at a standstill here. i want to do this right the first time, so im trying to get input from more experienced tesla coil builders so i dont F something up. ty
IDK what exactly you are referring to, but if you are just talking about ends of secondary, a few layers of polyurethene should get it stuck. For toroid, just balance it on there. that's what I did. :P
