 		So i was able to pierce a soup can easily at about 1 foot.

I was wondering if a boost coil would do much.

My idea is to have a small cap back made of photo flash caps about 20j to send the projectile into the main coil.

How would I go about triggering it? 555 timer signals sent to the SCR? I am very newbish when it comes to designing circuits.
