Voltage multiplier first capacitor gets AC?

I was simulating a CW multiplier in NL5 and I noticed that the first capacitor seems to get exposed to AC while the rest get DC, I found this thread which says otherwise:

Here is my schematic and my results, It is a voltage on each capacitor with respect to time graph.

You have a diode in series with it, so, no, it's not AC

The first capacitor sees ac current. Under normal operational conditions it should see a dc voltage with small ac ripple, but if the multiplier is badly designed or heavily loaded, the voltage on that cap can fall to a negative value.

i increased the capacitance the the first capacitor and put a resistor in series the the multiplier and it doesn't get reverse voltage anymore, thanks
