8.5V x 155A = around 900 watts, a MOT is only good for around 650 watts and thats up to max 30 minutes with forced air cooling, and the wire capable of 8.5V at 155A would no way on earth fit on a MOT.

Or use the beefiest switch mode power supply in existence. It couldn't be that hard, since low voltage mosfets can handle like 300 amps. Now, designing the transformer itself could be an issue, unless you went some sort of buck converter route.

Uh, 8.5V x 155A = 1317.5 watts.

This datasheet Link2 says 8.3 V at 135-155A. At the middle of that current range it would still dissipate over 1200 watts.

What are you going to drive the grid with? Not exatcly a MOSFET gate; the low frequency power gain is less than 100 if I read the datasheet correctly. User must limit the start-up filament current to 218 amperes (Typical cold resistance is 0.006 ohms) and limit the grid dissipation to 800 watts.

And about the pricing, i think its supposed to be 200 bucks, just that they put in a decimal point in the wrong place.

Just the scrap copper value would be way above 2 bucks anyways, prolly 200 bucks just in scrap copper.

They are not obliged to sell to a incorrect written price on a homepage or catalogue, errors do happen and are not legally binding.
