Vladimiro-Mazzilli's circuit seems to be the holy-grail, though I suspect there are better options than the original IRFP250s.

Does anyone offer a quality kit?

Is there a favorite flyback I should order? (not from disinformation unlimited!)

This humble newb will most graciously appreciate any advice available... wink

I guess IRFP250s are not as outdated as I thought...

now would be a good time for you to learn to make pcb's your self or just mock it up on ring board, for such a simple circuit ring boarb bac be just as fast as a pre made PCB, I would only want a pcb if the circuit was large or i was going to make a lot of them, so if your going to make a lot of them tray the toner transfer methiod using photopaper and a photo copier, works well if you are careful, touch up can be made wiht a sharpie.........you already posted the link with artwork, i belive that member is encouraging people to make there own boards :)................
