I suppose this could be classed as a project... Just somthing I bodged together earlier today, thought i'd show it off since im rather proud ;)
Video:
Based on the standard ZVS flyback transformer driver using IRF540 FETs, standard recovery time diodes and a .47uF(I think) capacitor. Primary is about 8 turns of wire from an old PC power supply (centre tapped). For the receiver im just using any old coils of wire I could find really, the one I used for the LED is an old stepper motor with its rotor removed, the one for the lightbulb is some sort of filter/inductor/choke type thing from a PC power supply. Resonance is achieved by glueing little bits of broken ferrite core to the receiver until I get the most power out.
It's not the best setup ever, i'm going to improve it and probably stick it in a nice box at some point. Let me know what you think.

instead of gluing ferrite to your coils, you could put a tube inside the coil and slide a piece of ferrite in or out of the tube until you hit resonance, and then glue the ferrite in that place. or add a nut and bolt (nylon would be best) to one end of the tube and put the ferrite on the end of the bolt so that it can remain a variable inductor so that you can demonstrate the effect of changing the inductance.
Does the zvs tend to heat up a lot when used in these wireless applications?

Thanks MRacerxdl. I did have a quick play around sticking various capacitors on the receiver and using different coils, but it didn't seem to improve the output much and in most cases reduced it. I'll look into it properly when I get chance.
Thanks for the tip forty, I'll have a look into that too.
As for the ZVS heating; I've only put a few amps at 12v through at the most so far, the ZVS driver hardly generates any heat at all running at these powers. I have the MOSFETs sharing a tiny strip of aluminium for a heatsink, they don't seem to get above about 30C. The primary, or transmitter coil, however, does get pretty warm, not even close to being hot enough to be a problem though.

Saw your video not long ago radhoo, thanks anyway though, hadn't really checked the details. Great video btw :)
I've just made a flat coil to use as a primary, I was testing it earlier with an LED and a couple turns of copper wire in a coil, also flat. The LED just popped the second I brought it near, it seems to be working quite well :D
