I got given 10 or so disposable cameras, I want to wire 4 of the transformers up (2 pairs in parallel put in series) to go into a cw to get about 8-12kv for a sgtc. I just haven't a clue on how to wire them up, does anyone know a good driver circuit for them from the components on the board (I think I have 4 of the same boards, but a few are different, does this matter?) and when i get them to work should I use 4 drivers and transformers, or just one driver? Thanks in advanced.

Here's a thread all about a camera flash tesla coil, all you have to do is search around ;) - Right Here

I've seen that and read through it many, many times and I'm still a bit miffed on how to wire up the transformers.

Are you understanding the insulation requirements on the secondary?

Are you needing help phasing the primaries?

I dont know what your asking help for.

As for your driver questions my advice is a 555 with a FET to get something working, then go from there as needed.

I'm aiming to get the transformer running separate from the board but using the components already there (transistor diode and resistor?) I know it can be done I'm just not sure how to isolate the driving circuit from everything else.

Yep, me too, nowhere in the thread says how the transformers are wired

You have to phase the primaries right or it wont work. personally i think a flyback or iggy would give you greater voltage and power at more reasonble driving conditions,
