Its going too far and its getting there real soon peeps. (beware if you live in Atlanta)
Private cameras and public cameras can be now monitored via network by the local police. So, as the great Fmr Judge Andrew Napolitano says (from Fox News which i knoooow you all loathe) we cant vid the police but they can vid us, oh yeah that makes perfect sense.
The camera is to the first amendment, what the gun is to the second amendement, ill make that logical leap to say that the camera is the new gun, allowing the people to take corrective action against their governement all without making anyone bleed or die.
The police will fear this power, fear it greatly. Its a brave new world out there, my fellow americans. Be ready.

I don't see how your statements that the camera is the new gun ties in at all with the article you linked to. If anything, it's the opposite of that article.
The police are the ones that are monitoring the cameras, so it's logical to say that any government agency can do the same. How then, will they fear their own tools? If a video is made of an injustice committed by the government, couldn't the government just change it? Assuming of course it didn't make it to the internet.

You miss understand my point. if the state commits an act they dont want known, thell make their video disappear.
I meant its our cameras they fear. Why else are iphones the first things that are siezed, why are people video taping the first ones challenged when the police arrive on scene...not the wrong do'ers?
As i said they can watch us, but we cant watch them.
And for those of you who claim to be law abiding, its not you who decides if you've done wrong--- its they (the police) who will decide. Im just saying its orwellian.

Symptoms of paranoia consistent with schizophrenia can emerge in early adulthood. Guns can unfortunately become a panacea for people ignorant of true political power, and social responsibility.
1. Know you rights, and especially what remains of democratic due process
2. Turn off your TV, walk outside, and Vote strategically...
3. Note that surveillance serves many purposes, and is scientifically proven ineffective at preventing crime. The fact the Patriot Act is used 97% of the time by DEA case workers is proof people are naive.
4. 99.99% of government employees consist of people who genuinely want to improve your living standard (even the corrupt ones attempt to help in their own way). Write directly to your local representative's office, and they will often accept practical options to local issues.
The other 0.01% of people tossing rhetoric should read this book before voting: Fascism in 10 easy steps: 1. Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy. 2. Create secret prisons where torture takes place. 3. Develop a thug caste or paramilitary force not answerable to citizens. 4. Set up an internal surveillance system. 5. Harass citizens' groups. 6. Engage in arbitrary detention and release. 7. Target key individuals. 8. Control the press. 9. Treat all political dissidents as traitors. 10. Suspend the rule of law.
Historically, these political structures implode as they are an unsustainable model.

For some reason do not think this post is going in a positive way of things and have a feeling it will be locked soon…..! Picking at the government or others issues will just stir animosity indeed. Why do not we focus on positive things and use the energy of this site to make people happy, give incentive to build things and share with friends at 4hv.

Yes i see your point Dr. spark.
However i worry about technological issues. Having seen autonomous robotic vid captures of my own body and the possibilty of fully networked video throughout a city, these issues i view as too important to allow them to go unchallanged. Especially when its the government who pokes their nose in.
Perhaps this thread will be locked, and i usually refrain from political or controvertial issues here on the forum, but on this topic, i just couldnt stay silent.
