For Sale:
Solid State Spark Gap Tesla Coil (SSSGTC) base
Consisting of
3 x 2 state Terry Fritz driver boards that I got from Steve Conner aaaages ago
2 x ballast boards Each consists of 12 x 1N5399 diodes in series forming a 1200V, 1.5A diode. The ballast is 9 x 7W ceramic wirewound 910R resistors in parallel forming a 101 ohm, 63W resistor.
2 x capacitor banks These are made up of 5 parallel strings of 8 * 330nF, 1kV Epcos PP film forming a 1.7uF, 8kV capacitor These are mounted on bits of copper clad board with VR37 4M7 charge balancing resistors
The whole thing is mounted on a 12mm board with 10mm threaded rod on each corner supporting another 12mm board lid for mounting the coil on. It's been stored in my cellar for the last few years and it's obvious I'm not going to do much with it so I'm getting rid.
I'm looking for £20 which would include the cost of shipping so really you are getting all this for about £8. It includes 20 x spare caps, 2 x spare large resistors and a couple of diodes too.
This is a really good bargain, so get on it! I'd rather give it away cheaply to someone who wanted it and would use it rather than chuck it in the bin.
