Heat sensitive components, but in my current project, reapairing a p6013 tek probe, im using it to attach the center of the coax. The center of the coax measure a resistance of 22.5k per foot. As its resistance wire like in a hair dryer or coil-stove-thingie, it cant be soldered.

I haven't a clue about organo-metallic chemistry, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if certain finely powdered metals were able to react to some degree with the resin or its constituents. Think Raney nickel as a lively example. Worth checking with someone who knows the field.
