The aforementioned have contributed financially to the continuing triumph of 4hv.org. They are deserving of my most heartfelt thanks.
Hypothetically could you have a transformer with a tertiary (I love pronouncing that word, it sounds like tushy LOL) coil or a quarternary coil? Even so, could you go infinitely up? Like Quintenary, Hexinary, Heptinary, Octinary, Noninary, Decinary and so on? If so, would the output of a hypothetical "tertiary coil" be the # of windings in the tertiary over the # of windings in the secondary and so on? I know that you'd need a VERY thin wire, but its hypothetical. :3 It's killing me to want to know that!

Are you thinking concentric coils? For example a Tesla Coil with a third coil inside of the secondary coil?
I believe it would act the exact same way as a transformer with multiple secondaries. Transformers have more than one set of secondary windings all the time like the filament supply on a MOT. If you had the space, you could put an infinite number of separate windings on a transformer core witch would each get a portion of the energy of the primary. Of course, as you approached infinity, the power each coil could supply would go to zero.

One word: saturation. And you're going to have _serious_ arc-over and tuning issues with a triple Tesla coil; I'm not sure whether its even mathematically possible.

Saturation of air core transformer, really?
My one word is: Impedance matching (well those are two words )
Tertiary coils are used in "magnifiers". If you used a fourth coil, the impedance of its base compared to the output impedance of the tertiary coil would be so low that you won't get any output.

Oh, I was referring to cascaded iron/ferrite transformers.

You can have a system, termed 'magnifier' where you feed a secondary with a relatively low number of turns (or more specifically designed to have a low impedance output, lots of current but only ~1-50kv of output voltage) and use that to 'base feed' a second resonator that is of more traditional dimensions. Google tesla magnifier and base fed vttc for more info on the math behind it.
You probably wouldn't get very far with a 4th or 5th coil, like Dr. Kilovolt mentioned it wouldn't be feasible/useful to design a system to work well with a 4th coil. You could probably get away with base feeding multiple tertiary resonators, so long as you are careful to design them to all have the same resonant frequency.
