Wow! Awesome job on the Plasma Speaker, I'm so jealous. Do you have any vids of it working? Or is it still in construction?

I'm wondering about that big power transformer. Could you tell us about it? Does it provide the working voltage for the flyback driver? if so, what is it rated at (output voltage/currect)? Could you possibly show us a schematic diagram of the project?

NICE JOB!

That big transformer is main power supply for driver. It all runs of 24VDC(chip and fan on 12 and 5v ofcourse) transformer is rated at 24V/6A.

That site belongs to Grenadier, and I believe that he designed that circuit for his plasma speaker. He has a lot of experience with mosfets and flybacks in general. So, if you have questions, he's a very good source.

I'm also working on building a plasma speaker, and I'll post some pics and details when it's done and working. smile
