You know what? Screw this site. No one likes me on the forums and all, except for probably Bjorn as far as moderators go. Even though I ask whats the topic, they keep banning me. I try to stay on topic but, even though I follow the damn 10db rule, they keep kicking me out. From now on, TeslaGirl will be a rarity on the forum, especially the chatroom for A LONG TIME. Goodbye 4HV, and joshua_ has a new enemy.

Hey, would you say what happened please? I don't hate you, so it's at least two people you're wrong about!
I assume they keep banning you from the chatroom? And since when there existed a topic there? Not since I remember, but I got rusty though. In any case I would not take anything said in the chatroom with this amount of seriousness... otherwise, brain damage is not only possible, but likely - as some would say It's a good (or bad?) thing about internet you can always pop out of the chatroom if you can't stand someone, or put him onto an ignore list or whatever. But I can't help you more without knowing what's going on...

As the IRC moderator who removed you, let me quickly explain why. We gave you a time out so that you could listen and learn from how others used the chat room; and we told you that you're welcome to join us when you have something to contribute.
But, it's very hard to keep a conversation going about things related to high voltage, science, and technology, when someone comes in and is announcing on a regular basis things that have no relevance to the rest of us there.
A good guideline for using the chat is how you would behave in a room full of people. Just as you wouldn't walk into a room full of people talking about electronics and start speaking into the abyss about movies, or what you ate for dinner, doing that in the chat is also something to avoid. If everyone else is speaking softly, you wouldn't shout at the top of your lungs; when one hits their caps lock, that's what it's like.
At the end of the day, we try to be welcoming, but we also expect people who join us to keep a certain level of care in what they say, and how they say it. Just like how on the forums, we expect people to think and read what they write before they post, we expect the same from you on IRC; if you want others to read what you have to say, surely you, too, should take a moment to read over it before you send it!
I hate being the hardass moderator, but over the past few weeks, the noise has started to push the signal out of the channel. Today it came to a head; I'm sorry that you felt offended in the end, HighVoltageChick. I hope you'll understand why we felt like we needed to give you some time to read and watch how others use the channel, and I hope that you'll rejoin us when you're ready.
