Hi all.

Just found another interesting item over here.

For only £1 you can buy a nice plastic picture frame with two 2mm thick glass 6"*4" sheets.

Guess what those are handy for, yes thats right DIY OLEDs/EL/etc.

Not bad.
Add your Poundland/Dollar Store bargains here.

I have also seen "shock pens" for £1 which contain a driver transformer, batteries AND HV generator PCB that can be repurposed into a geiger tube driver.

Not far from me a £1 store has been eclipsed by a 99p store immediately opposite, and the owners shake their fists at one another and shout insults across the street in Turkish.

Best buys at the moment from the 99p man are large bottle of pickled green chiles, large bottle of green olives, and medium bottle of sun dried tomatoes in olive oil. I'm always making mutton shish in the garden, so these prices are very handy.

The sliced green jalapeno peppers are pretty good too.

Someone should grow some bhut jolokias and pickle them. That would make jalapenos look mild.

I'm growing some Dorset Naga's, very similar to Bhut Jolokia tongue Also growing Scotch Bonnet and Jalapeno's. Not sure what I'm going to do with them though, other than use them to remove my brain in a violent and unconventional manner.

Maybe you could save one for me, I pass through Derby half a dozen times a year.

They're really tasty too - I chop them up with feta cheese and croutons and toss them into salads.

As for all this Vindaloo XXX with thermonuclear chillies, the guys can keep it for days when they've just had the cistern serviced. I'm more of a korma person myself. smile
