Hi all.
Here is an interesting question to ponder.
Under what circumstances would society tolerate mandatory surveillance 24/7 as a punishment or other punitive measure for suspected criminals, i.e. upon receipt of a Notice of Intended Prosecution you have to agree to carry a locator beacon?

In Denmark you can often choose between going to jail or wear a tracking device that is used to supervice if you are not leaving home in certain parts of the day.
This is usually for minor offenses, the idea was to lighten the expenses spend on jails. At times it is though seen that some people prefer prison rather than being a prisoner in your own home...
