Hi,

Its time to upgrade my tesla coil and i have a acquired the necessery parts.

The major upgrade is the new NST which is rated 1Kva instead of old one at 450Va.
On the plating it says 10Kv/100ma rating and 130ma max short circuit current.
Which of the values should i put in the calculator ?

Next question is what tank capacitans do i use, i got two options. 30nF or 60nF. I guess the later since the optimum LTR in
Teslamap says 47nF (and 29nF resonant).

I only got a singel tungsten gap with two 30W muffinfans blowing at it. Hope it will suffice. It did great @ 500VA but i wonder what its limit is. Here is first light about a year ago. Now i want bigger sparks of course :)

Here is the specs for the upgraded version. (some specs are missing, Teslamap would not print them)

It seems ok, I would definitely go for the 60nf, it will lower your max voltage a bit but its better than frying your transformer!
