So my grandma was nice enough to drive me to AX-MAN SURPLUS in Fridley today. I originally had gone there to find a motor to make a winding jig to turn my new tesla coil secondary while I poly coat it. In the end I ended up with almost 50 dollars of stuff I have no idea what im gonna do with. (:

Now with it being a surplus store the items aren't exactly new, but they are are in extremely good condition (:

There's so much more there too, i'm going back tomorrow to get another batch of items (: I didn't even make a dent in the supplies they had for the things I took. They've got a bunch of tiny little caps for $0.10 - $0.25 i'm gonna grab as well. I'll post pictures tomorrow :)

look for some higher voltage caps and some mkp caps. those are always nice to have. any sort of power supplies are nice too. those big lytics were a hell of a steal.

Yeah, the highest they have is the 300VDC caps, and I think they have 3 or 4 left, but otherwise they have a ton of other components for next to nothing (:

Went shopping again, and picked up way more than I did yesterday (:

17 different kinds of CDE capacitors in the baggies, ranging from .0015uF - .4uF. They're rated from 50VDC to 200VDC. Over 300 of them all together :D

2 - 12V, -12V, 5V SMPS modules

A bunch of relays

25 more of those resistors

36 - 0.68uF, and 1uF WIMA caps

8 - .1uF film caps

2 more of the 450uF caps

2 - 15000uF 15VDC caps

4 - 10000uF 16VDC caps

10 - 100V 3A diodes

I spent about 100 bucks for everything :p

I know this is going to sound sort of wonky, but, would you be willing to trade for one of those SMPS modules? I need a negative supply and one of those would be fantastic!

I'll warn you now, it's not capable of a whole lot of current. I'm not sure on the actual current, but I can test it out and find out for ya if you wish?

Well, it only need be powering logic. So, a lot of current isn't really needed!
