Just got my 811 A to work, however I have several questions for some of my fellow coilers.
One being that my VTTC seems to oscillate and work for awhile then its arc length or efficiency drops off. I was wondering if this is due to parasitic inductance/capacitance in wire leads ?
I have tried to keep them relatively short however.

Second being that I only have 30 Turns available on my primary and i believe i need more turns however, furthermore i have 1 small toroidal topload, if i add a second will the tuning be less perhaps less than 30?

Third can someone recommend a beginners circuit to allow me to run it in staccato mode/audio modulate it ? this would allow my tube to run cooler if i am not mistaken ?
