will an audio modulated sstc play radio?

just wondering, will playing the radio on an audio sstc work just like it would for an mp3?

If you had the radio really far away from the coil then maybe. all that emf noise from the sparks would wreak havoc on the radio signal i imagine. or you could get a nasty feedback loop like when you put a microphone in front of a speaker.

I think if you had a 500-1700 kilocylcle coil, the music would be HEARD on the radio!

I just tried a radio sitting beside my 900w (4ft spark) sgtc and it seemed to play just fine. although the display went nuts. But other than that the music was fine.
do you think there would be different results with an audio sstc? im thinking the frequency will be way higher and have a different effect

My miniature ~1.6mHz ~80 watt frequency modulated coil plays on AM pretty well. Plays on AM meaning plays it's music on every AM band a radio can tune to - and every radio within my entire house and probably much farther. The noise gets absolutely everywhere. Mostly its just RF hash but if you get near the correct frequencies you can get surprisingly clear signals.
