Resistance is usually the only thing that limits current, the whole resonant thing is what gets rid of impedence. That's how it can have such huge amounts of current flowing.

The reason you might want an OCD, is that right now say you're running 250A at x volts on the bridge with no secondary... if you then add the secondary and get it perfectly tuned, that current at the same x volts will probably drop to 100A or even less. At that point, you could crank the voltage way up to get back to your 250A limit. But at this voltage, if the secondary fell off/some physical fault/etc (or even huge detuning from a ground strike), you'd suddenly be at 500A+, and would be very glad you had an OCD.
If you never exceed your bridge's current capacity with or without a secondary and never exceed that bridge voltage, you're right that there's not much point to an OCD.

Yeah I know that, but here, I dont get more than 250A independently of what spec I use.
My tOn is usually 240us, but after the first 100us the current doesnt get more than 250A.
And with or without the secondary, the current is 250A after about 100VDC at bus. I doesnt increase anything after that.
But I know in theory, that Ground Strikes, Bad Tune, or even voltage spikes can increase the peak current at primary, so I really dont know what is going on on my bus :/
