I will be headed to Grand Forks, North Dakota shortly. I wanted to ask for advice, comments and things I might want to ask about as I may field a CSU Chico flight team in 2012 or 2013, and make the most of this trip.
I am most interested in sensors and which types are likely to fail or work. I also plan to see several teams up close to make the usual cursory evaluation, size, flight wobbles, sensor schemes, mass, flight endurance (battery type/size), processor type, ground computer cluster, communications of real time autonomous data, the rules and specifics of judging as well as the crashes bound to happen.
So, any input, questions or comments would be welcome between now and Aug 12, 2011 on this thread.
