Step 2: Find a suitable ferrite core to fit in the hole.

Use one of them fancy multi-tool things. My dad has this oscillating thing that can cut through metal pretty easily.

Heh, lots of solder blobs, melted spots and grease stains on that rug... pa's not too happy about it.

Edit: hot glue stains too...
