Hello, my question is, does halfbridge DRSSTC with voltage doubler needs a strike rail if its plugged in TN-C network? If the spark hits primary, current go into the PEN am i right? PEN is connected in the middle of doubler caps and then on primary coil..
Most of networks in my country are TN-C occasionally TN-S so if i want to make a universal spark protection system and common mode switching noise loop would be this circuit correct? -thx

Hello, Usually in theory a primary strike should be non-destructible in most cases, but people put the strike rail there for safety - a primary strike may also induce noise which can upset the drive circuit. The primary winding also has some inductance, so if an arc strikes to the other end of the primary, some voltage can be induced on it.
However, in my opinion a properly designed circuit should not need the strike rail.
