As the title says. Maybe someone has a solid IGBT driven coil that that they're willing to part with?
I've been searching for a awhile, and haven't seen anything this large posted for sale here or on ebay.

PM with images and a price. Thanks!

Well...

It might be that every DRSSTC typically is a prototype made by an amateur.

My DRSSTC that can do 150 cm sparks at 2500W input took me a year to build and god knows how many hours, its just not possible to put a price on that :)

You best bet is Eastern Voltage Research for a complete kit with support

Where are you located?

If you want to buy that kind of equipment you will have to pay a lot $$ for it...

Cheers, Daniel Uhrenholt

Thanks to everyone who replied publicly in the thread and privately by PM.

To be honest, I'm an older EE with a background in motor control. Most recent related work was a 200kw 3ph AC motor controller for an EV (electric vehicle). I'm not a n00b, and I do understand the effort involved.
Last winter I did assemble a nifty cm600 bridge, tested up to 75khz into a resistive (non reactive) load, and then ran flat out of tinker time two months back.
I thought perhaps someone here might have already built one, grew beyond it, and was interested in selling it. Hence the post.

I'm located in the Phx metro area. I will try and attend the next Teslathon here in the spring. I barely missed the last one when searching for coilers here.

Thanks and Regards,

Phew! So your not one of the dread random "can i haz a cheap coil" people (last time we had one of those, a mini flame-war was started :()
But why buy one? Building a coil is a good part of the fun, and you sound like you know your way around EE and power electronics.
