I'm curious, because I just found one the size of a chihuahua. It's twice the size of the next biggest one I've ever seen, I can upload a pic if anyones interested.

I got it out of an old computer monitor, I forget what brand.
It also had a giant heatsinks and giant transistors and a 2.2uF mylar capacitor

I'll take and upload some pics this afternoon

Its an average size flyback with a voltage multiplier that has various tap points on it (don't quote me on the multiplier part , especially since there are pots to adjust the voltage) if you could dremel off the square box on the left side of it, it would be ur standard ~27in tv flyback.

Not really a flyback but a big HV transformer:

The biggest "real" flyback I have is this one (on the left). No caps or dividers, just a winding with rectifiers.

I have a friend with a chihuahua, it's legitly the same size when curled up.

Don't know what the reference looks like to you guys, but it's bigger than my fist.

Maybe I've only been exposed to small flybacks, but this IS almost twice as big as the next biggest one.
