This is a mostly Steve Ward design but with both an antenna and CT. Only one is necessary but I left the CT in so I could take measurements later.

Look mom! No RF ground...ermm...ignore the capacitive paths to earth.

Nice one Staci,

You can lay a few feet of aluminium cooking foil under (or on top of) the carpet for an rf 'earth'
works really well.

I do like the brass!!! Gives it that "Lost in Space" feel!!
Nice work! I think loosing an inch of spark evens out in the cool factor. Now it would be
really cool if you could stuff all the electronics in the tuna can!! Not sure if that battery
would fit inside the coilform, or affect tuning. It would be awesome though if it just
looked like a coil sitting on top of a tuna can though!!!!

I hope someday to make my own SSTC, but I haven't the courage to touch the sparks, he-he.
