induction heater failure in humidity

When I run my mosfets they get slightly warm with 50A running through. There are two in parallel per side. So, I would say each side is seeing 25A, and each mosfet per side is seing about 12-13A.

How hot do most of you on here run your mosfets? Are you happy if they are hot to the touch if you plan on running for 20 minutes? Is a reasonable rule if you can leave your hand on them it is ok? I just worry because the inside of the case is hotter than what I can feel outside.

As far as the "oil submersion" suggestion: I though of that but i really don't want go down that road. I think I will look into some higher flow pumps.

Correct, the easiest solution is just to let it all run hotter until the condensation goes away. If you need ice water to keep it alive, your design is a little close to the edge for commercial use. 40'C wouldn't be an unreasonable coolant temperature for a FET cooling block. The capacitor datasheet will say what the maximum inlet temperature is for rated power.

Another possibility would be to seal the electronics inside an airtight box so humid air can't get in. If there are components that need forced air, use a fan to stir the air in the box, and maybe an air-to-water heat exchanger, if the box can't lose enough by conduction through its walls. This is how Ameritherm's smaller units are made.

From something above, I think that anything that can be peeled off is unsuitable as moisture will eventually get in. Quicker than you'd expect. Easy to get in, hard to get out.
(it's moisture creeping between ic leads and the molded plastic that ultimately limits ic life)
The best that I've seen is the transparent jelly used in thyristor & igbt blocks.
(stickier than snot even after years in service) No idea what it is but it's good.
