Hmm, now this sounds slightly more plausible than any explanation so far, although I am not convinced about the alien-like children "theory".
It is more likely that the "aliens" were carefully prepared in a lab with materials available at the time to look as convincing as possible, then loaded onto the plane which was also fitted with convincing looking fake technology then remote crashed in Nevada under the orders of Stalin.
The idea was to convince the American government that an invasion was imminent so as to cause panic, and use up resources trying to reverse engineer the fake components.
No wonder it has taken so long for this to be released.
