Wow ! old memories I've tried to erase Curl from what's left of my mind - I do remember tying to 'picture' fields in 4D ... my poor little brain still hasn't recovered.
I remember looking through my uni notes only about 5 years after graduating if some of the notes weren't in my handwriting I'd have sworn I never did some of the topics !
I also remember when Intel released the 8008 and one of my friends used one for his final year project, in my usual prophetic manner I declared; "microprocessor's .. no, too complicated, they will never catch on" and I'm just as smart now!
The first job I took after graduation was the design of microprocessor (8048 then 8748) controlled electronic ignition ... 1 kByte ROM & 64 Byte RAM ... state-of-the-art ! The first unit that we bought for development was £200 each .. more than my monthly salary ! (we were paid in cash weekly in those days)
