I've never really made a tesla coil before, but looking at some class e speakers on youtube, well, I want one.
So I did some reading on class e operation and I think I understand it, so I made this schematic of what should theoretically work as a plasma speaker. The thing is, I have no clue about tesla coil design and I need some pointers on it. I'd like this thing to run at about 4mhz and I have 39ga, 28ga, 26ga, 25ga and 24ga magnet wire at my disposal.
So 4HV, does anyone have any pointers for me?

All this circuit would do is change the bias voltage on the gate, which would make the mosfet switch very inefficiently if the voltage on the gate was not high enough. Also, you would not hear anything from the sparks. Mosfet's are generally not linear devices.

I was thinking about setting up a solid state tesla coil and switching the power supply itself and simultaneously grounding necessary points on the circuit (cap's and inductors) it would have to be some fast switching though...
