That style with the open terminals is very common in the US, they are always mounted inside a compartment in a sign or in a separate sealed housing though, you wouldn't find them just sitting out exposed. I have a 15kV 30mA NST that looks just like the one in your picture but it's gray.

Got it better, I was a little bit scared at the idea they would be fitted as is outside
Well today I finally found a friend who drove the 300 km to fetch the NST's with me,
in fact there are three 10/50 and one 8/50,
They all work fine
Still waiting on other parts I ordered from eBay...
Edit :
Should I use PFC caps with my NST's (25µF recommended by manufacturer) ? Would this improve NST's output or only lower input ? Isn't ideal PFC cap value dependant on the load ?
