What was the best $100 you ever spent?
For me, the best $100 (okay, $120) I ever spent was spent on my motorbike kit. With 35mph, 70mpg, off road capability and no insurance bill my motorbike was by far the best investment I have made to date. So, what was yours?

I was given a non-working 42" panasonic plasma screen for nothing by a local pub - the scan control board restoring it to perfect working order cost £50 and it`s still working fine :o) The screen was worth a grand at the time.

Hard to say...Very hard. Well, I would probably have to say my drill press. $160 plus coupons got it to about $110. 12" Bench top drillpress, 500-3000RPM, 1/2HP.
Probably say that would have to be the best $100 i spent, a lot of things are a bit over $100. But, its my most used item besides my ipod touch and my computer. Used almost daily, and life would suck without it.

motor bike kit eh? is it a 4 stroke engine? i bought a small dirt bike for 120$ last year, it as small as a pocket bike but it still quite fun until it gave me a bloody knee and now I have the replace the blown tire.

Very early 1970's high-end series Yamaha 12 string guitar, made in Yamaha-Japan's better shop. Amazingly well made, phenomenal sound, nitro lacquer finish bone bridge/nut; seriously high quality. $89. Best $100 buy I think I've made. Las Vegas pawn shop!

I bought a '94 Plymouth Acclaim with 200,000 miles for exactly $100 with practically nothing wrong except for the outside, which is beaten up quite a bit. So far I have not spent a cent on it and it's still running fine after 8 months of use
