Hi everybody, I have been silent for a very long time and have just begun participating again. I thought I would let everyone know about these flyback transformers.
I have 65 of the newer, modern type flyback transformers available and I charge what I consider to be really fair prices for them. Unfortunately, they are nearly all from different manufacturers so you won't be able to buy several that are identical. Anyway, I will sell these for $9 each plus shipping by USPS First Class Mail for $3.25. I also ship international by USPS First Class Mail International, which is very reasonable but does not provide any sort of tracking information. I am providing some sample pictures and they all pretty much look the same as these. There are some minor differences in size and I will sell them from largest down to the smallest. The pictures also show some other flybacks I have for sale. The battery is D cell and is for scale.
I also have about 20 of some small vintage open frame type flybacks, see pictures, they are all just like the small one. The ferrite cores measure approximately 2" by 1.63" by 0.46" thick. Some of them are in pristine condition but they were stored in a warehouse with no air conditioning. The coils are encapsulated in tar and they were all stored loosely together in a large box. Where the hold down bolts of the ferrites pressed against the soft tar in the heat during the summer, it left impressions and caused some minor cracks in the tar of many of them. I have covered the coils of these with silicone sealant to assure the integrity of the insulation provided by the tar. Some of them also have some minor problems, like broken pins or cracked circuit boards but nothing that will hurt their operation in any way. The ferrite cores are all unbroken and there are no chips.
I sold more than 200 of these on eBay over the past 2 years and got absolutely zero complaints. I sold them for $12.95 plus shipping but I will sell the ones with minor damage for only $10.50 plus shipping and the nice, undamaged ones for only $11.50 plus shipping, since I won't have any eBay fees to pay. If anyone wants to buy more than one or all of them, I will consider cutting the price a little.
I have another batch of about 35 or 40 flybacks that are significantly larger. I originally had over 100 of them and I have been selling them from largest down to smallest and all of the really large ones are already gone but I do have some fairly nice ones left. The really large ones sold for as much as $100 each but these smaller ones I have left have been selling for anywhere from $24 to $30 depending on the size. The smallest of them will most likely be about $15 to $18 each and even the smallest of these are considerably larger than the small ones I'm offering for $11.50. Most of these have the factory connection diagram.
Finally, I have a few of some flybacks that are just a bit larger than the tar encapsulated ones that have their coils potted in epoxy, instead of tar. I was selling them on eBay for $16.95 but they have some minor problems and I will take $15 for them.
If someone wants to buy any of them, I will provide pictures and detailed descriptions of of the exact one or ones they would get prior to paying for them. I use PayPal and I send invoices through PayPal's invoice system.
If anyone is interested, you can email me at **link**. I also have an eBay store Tube Designs Electronics where I sell all kinds of electronic parts for the lowest prices on eBay. Thanks. Paul
