Wow that's a lot of material! Should be a pretty handy guide.

One comment though on the intro:

This instructable is a guide to galvanic (not electrostatic) High Voltage sources.
Galvanic refers to electricity produced chemically, according to Oxford English dictionary and a cursory googling. I'm not sure what term encompasses all non-electrostatic HV sources, or if there is such a term, but it's not galvanic.

And is it possible to put links in your Table of Contents? That would be another nice addition.

.

Apparently there isn't a word. There are three types, electro-dynamic (or electro-magnetic), galvanic and electro-static.

No piezo devices? Also what about resonant transformers? Tesla coils should fall under that category (base fed and the normal air cored transformer)

They used to separate electricity into 2 categories: things that originated from a battery such as spark coils were called galvanic, and it was used to differentiate between electrostatic things like the whimhurst machine.

So, do you think its good enough to win that laser cutter?

Galvanetic is the word you are looking for. As in "galvanetic reaction". ;)

I think galvanic is the proper term. My electrical dictionary says that galvanic corrosion is the corrosion of 2 dissimilar metals due to a battery action between them .Wikipedia uses the term galvanic cell and voltaic cell to describe the same thing, a battery . Galvanic is usually a descriptor indicating an electrochemical cell.Thats my 2 cents worth..this was a great instruct-ables...hope you put it on your website.
