Well it's no secret that they are being outlawed soon in the USA. Would it be a good idea to stock up on them, and if so how many should I buy?

Also... what will the kids with ez bake ovens do??

Just save your old ones with blown filaments, and run them off a flyback.

I got about 50 of those in storage, ranging from 20W to 200W. I dont really use them as I dont like the color, as now im using full spectrum CFLs in thier stead (very nice pleasant cool white light), but they are nice to keep when you need a simple and half-relaible source of light.

CLFs and other fluorecents require ballasts.. either magnetic or electronic, incandescents are just a resistive filament, so its fairly nice for that simplicity.

We will teach them how to properly cook with a BBQ rather then a lightbulb.

Yeah, because the typical "metal playgrounds are deadly" parent is just eager to let their child use a kitchen range...

What a shame.
I remember my childhood with nice steak.. not pieces of food that look like plastic inside an oven powered by a lightbulb.

Well, thier kids are done for when they grow up if they lived in a bubble all thier life, Mom and Dad isn't gonna be there forever.

EDIT:OT: Aw sweet!
To fuel my mild addiction to lasers, this is my 532nd post :P (nice bright green)
