This is what it says: Gate V=2v, I=60mA
The thing that is puzzling me at the moment is where does the voltage come from? I mean, all the examples I've seen the gate is connected to the same +ve as the main load, does it have to be? Or can it just be connected to another lower voltage supply.
I feed it from another place, in my case my SCRs are fed from the capacitors and the gate is fed from the converter battery, properly regulated to 5V and current lowered to 15mA.
Don't exceed 60mA if you want your SCR to last a couple o' years ;)
You can fire it off a couple AA batteries with a series resistor, for example.
