@barry or anyone who knows how to find out energy stored in capacitors: i tried barry's formula but it gave me insane amounts of energy(over a million joules) for a small cap this is the equation ryt? energy=0.5*capacitance*voltage squared? atleast that is how i interpreted it pls clarify

If you are still looking for a method for switching, ST microelectronics and Vishay will both sample you SCRs for free. That is by far the best way to go. SCRs can also be purchased for about the same price as a beefy relay.

yeah i guess so stupid of me not to notice! bit weak in math anyway where is SR microelectrinics and vishay and can you pls say the price for SCR in ruppees
